Running ninety seconds doesn’t feel much different from running sixty seconds at this point. I’m glad I decided to move on to Week Two instead of wimping out and repeating Week One.
I feel great. I mean it! Not only do I feel physically awesome and energized all day after running, I’m actually at the point where even during the cool-down walk, I’m already feeling jazzed and good. I’m still red-faced and sweaty, of course, but I feel alive. This is one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself, I think.
We’re going on a picnic today. I had originally intended to fry some chicken for it, but we got in so late last night (went to a local Chocolate Festival) that we didn’t make the submarine sandwiches that were to be for last night’s meal, and right now those sandwiches sound a whole lot better to me than fried chicken. Another benefit of exercise: I tend to make better food choices when I’m feeling better about my body. (Pay the above reference to the Chocolate Festival no mind, then; I actually didn’t even eat much chocolate there, as it was pretty darn expensive.)
