Woot!

I did it!

That course was hard. I wound up walking far, far more than I did on my first 5K run, especially at the end; there was one point in that last mile where a hill appeared in front of me that looked more like a wall than anything I could climb (probably about here:

…yeah), and I just wanted to stop right then and there. Can’t do it, no way. But I did.

And with all that walking, I didn’t come in last – I beat four people! – and I did beat my last 5K record! True, it wasn’t by much, but I did! I had a time of 46:01, which impressed me, considering the walking and the course.

Now…I’m off to the County Fair!
