Head hurting again

I finally got an appointment with a new doctor. It’s hit me that I am having a ton of headaches lately, not all of which are horrible, but most of which are nagging and making me snappish at the least. Then there’s the dizziness, which hits not just when I go from sitting or squatting to standing, but now also occasionally happens when I turn my head or look up and down.

Some of the headaches are interesting in that they almost feel “topical.” They’re right behind my ears, about where a headband would hit, and the pain is almost like I’ve actually been wearing a too-tight headband. If I brush the skin in that area with my fingers, it hurts, enough to make me gasp. Glandular, perhaps?

I’ve got a slight headache at the moment that’s nearly ignorable except for when something makes a loud noise, like the timer on the oven or the kids’ toy trains. I want to put in earplugs until it goes away, but that strikes me as a bad idea when the kids are being wild.

Anyway, they couldn’t get me in to the doctor until the middle of January, so I’ll deal with it a bit longer, I suppose. I’m pretty good at pushing stuff like this to the back of my mind, but it’s aggravating that when it finally gets to the point where I’m forced to accept that I should probably go get checked out, I then have to wait some more. I guess not everybody’s operating on my logic clock, as much as I could wish they were.
