Bawk bawk

It’s snowing pretty hard, and they’re saying maybe five inches are on their way. I don’t particularly feel like trotting off to the gym in it. Yay, motivation.

I’m going, instead, to try out my new espresso maker this morning! Mmmmm, coffee.

In other news, Gabe is well on his way to being fully potty-trained! He’s in underwear during the day now, and the only accidents we’ve had have been of the, uh, messy variety. That’s to be expected, though. He even naps in underwear without a problem (unless he wakes up and decides to have a bowel movement before getting out of bed)! Soon, we’ll be a diaper-free house!

Yay!! We are now also diaper-free here and have been for a few months. In some ways it’s great, in others it isn’t because it makes me long for another little one. :-) I’m just having to remember to always ask him if he has to go potty BEFORE we leave the house or we risk having to dash into the nearest bathroom we can find.

Diaper-free here too. My kids are roughly the same ages as yours — I’ve been reading you since you were newly pregnant with Sam! And after 6+ years of diapers, it’s wonderful to do away with them.

Carrie, I also just have to say how inspiring it’s been to follow your weight loss. It’s so impressive and is moving me to get off my butt and start an exercise regimen. So thank you.

Ditto, Naomi. I’ve gained about eight pounds since summer (YIKES!), and over the last week, I’ve also gotten my butt off the couch. I figure I might as well get a running start at the New Year’s resolutions. Thanks for the motivation.

About potty-training…I’m so glad it is going well for you & Gabe. That was the worst part of having small children for me and is the reason I stopped at two munchkins. Seriously. I’m not kidding!
