Calisthenics in my sleep

I like the mystery nightly weight loss weirdness, where you go to bed wearing PJs that are just on this side of “I can still wear these”…and wake up with them having crossed over to the other side.
Darn it, what is up with race organizers scheduling races on Sundays? I mean, not, of course, that the world is Christian or should follow the church’s schedule or anything (heck, up here in Cheeseland, ministers will actually schedule the church around the Packers’ schedule sometimes). Still, I really, really wanted to do the Sampson Stomp, and Eric is all, “That’s a Sunday. We have choir. You made a commitment.” And he’s right! But that stinks!
I may talk to the director and see what we’re singing; maybe she’d be okay with it…except that we’re a one-car family, so I’d need to take the car, and both Eric and I would have to be missing.
But doesn’t it look like fun? And maybe I could even drum up enthusiasm and get Sam and Gabe into one of the kiddie runs! Whee!
I know, it’s a sickness.

Ha, that’s why I weigh in the mornings - it can be a good 2lb difference!

Carrie- The Sampson is one of the most fun races in your area…go if you can!
As to races on Sunday morning- it’s the best time for the most people to go. Most people have kid commitments on Saturdays. Most triathlons are scheduled on Sundays as well.
Hint: find a running buddy who can drive!! If I were still down there, I’d be with you in a heartbeat!
And I STILL think you need to seriously consider Danskin or Subaru…if you keep it up you’ll be running sub-30 5Ks in no time, and that’s a great place to be to add in the biking and swimming.
Just think of the swim as a giant puddle you have to get through in order to really start the race…

I’m so tempted by the Samson Stomp, too. I’ve heard it is a lot of fun.
