It was just barely sprinkling, after a cloudburst earlier, so we decided to head for the parade, Sam’s scooter covered in paper streamers.
It started raining more heavily when we arrived.
Then it started pouring. Everybody started leaving, so we left, too. Both kids were soaked to the skin by the time we reached the car; neither was disappointed to be beating a hasty retreat.
As I was packing the scooter into the car, it started to hail.
Lovely day for a parade, no?
