Well, now what?

Not a stress fracture. Won’t know more until my follow-up on Tuesday morning.

I didn’t know what I was hoping for, going in, but now I know: I wanted a straight answer about when I’d be able to run again. A stress fracture would have meant about eight weeks off, and I’d have had to pull out of Chicago, but at least it would be unquestionable and fairly by-the-books. Now I’m in limbo again.

What now? :-(

Also, an interesting “thing” showed up on my first metatarsal, near the big toe, like a white spot. The nurse called it a “high uptake area.” I’m not experiencing pain there, so who knows?

    limbo is very difficult. I’m not much good at it.
    I imagine that limbo when you’ve been able to run and enjoy such highs is exceptionally aggravating.
    Not getting answers is also frustrating.
    :sad:
    I hope you are able to keep your spirits up while you wait this out.
    You’ll get through this. You’re very inspiring and have a great big heart. {{{{{{{{carrie}}}}}}}}}}}
