Mealtime conversations

GABE: “- AAAAAAAAH, WAAAAAH, WAAAAAAAH! I hate rice!”
ME: “Yes.”
GABE: “I hate rice, and I always get rice! You always give me rice!”
ME: “Not really.”
GABE: “Why do you always give me rice?!”
ME: “I haven’t given you rice in months.”
GABE: “YES, YOU DO! Because of your bad love!
ME: “Um, okay.”
GABE: “Why aren’t you crying? I’m crying, and I want you to cry, too!”
ME: “Just don’t feel like -”
GABE: “Can I paint now? Peeka, pooka, painta…”

Oh, Carrie, this little boy of yours makes me laugh so hard.

I’m going to appropriate this line for everyday use: “Because of your BAD LOVE!”

haha! You and your Bad Love!

Funny he wants you to cry with him, that’s the one trick that dries up the “fake tears” in our house – us joining in. They stop pretty quick to tell us to stop crying, so we agree to stop if they stop.
