I’d write more today, but I am utterly spent, having completed a day of running and then running around, candies and cooking, mothering and trying hard to keep from acting the child myself. One of those days.
So let’s let it suffice to say that today’s run = good, and I’ve found a new favorite fuel: Hornet Juice. Because, dude. I finally broke down and ordered some, and today’s run was bizarrely fast and left me with a ton of energy up until right about thirty minutes ago. Other members of the running club were actually commenting that I looked faster and better, with a bigger and more powerful stride, before I said anything about new fuels to them. I’m going to try it again on my next 20-miler, this Saturday.
Anyway, I’m beat now, mostly because kids are always able to achieve what even the hardest workouts can’t.
Tell me more about your running week or weekend run.
Huh. I ended up ordering some of the Hornet Juice for my husband to try while he trains for a 2-day bike ride this summer!
Thanks for the hint!
It’s somewhat sad that I had to leave my job to get time to train, but it seems things are back on track. Which makes me feel good.
Hi Carrie!
Hey, thanks for your two thumbs up on Hornet Juice! This is a great testimonial! I’ll share your post to our Facebook Page. Check it out and say hello to the rest of the swarm!
Keep on buzzing,
Rina

It will be many years before I get there, but I am curious- at what distances do you start needing to “refuel”?
You asked about folks’ running plans for the weekend…I ran my first 5K today (hooray for C25K!)! 32:50, which is way faster then my usual pace (which probably accounts for how lousy I felt for the last 1/2 mile!), but it was a lot of fun! I’m looking forward to another 5K on Mother’s Day!
