Cheering up

Sometimes you make a day better by, um, structuring a bit of unstructured creativity. 
I saw these books while I was out with Gabe today, and I immediately decided that it could provide the perfect antidote to the stress of 4 o’clock “progress report” time. (Which wasn’t too bad today. He got all “okay” faces, which confuses the heck out of Eric and me. Did he do something wrong? Not bad enough to actually tell us (or, apparently, for him to remember), but not good enough for a smiley? What the heck, yo?) Anyway, both boys are loving the books, but especially Gabe, who seems to have taken to heart the idea of following the “suggestions” for each page. Sam prefers the “free pages,” naturally.
