There are no bananas in the house. I feel sort of like Jack Sparrow, wandering around the kitchen, muttering, “Where have the bananas gone?” Into Gabe, that’s where. Grrrr…I do believe that I’ve gotten spoiled; having hot cereal without melted bananas cooked into it feels wrong. But a day without hot cereal?! How can such a thing be?
Whole day feels weird, really. I “slept in” until 6:30, at which point, while I was in the process of opening my eyes, Sam came rushing in to announce that the loose tooth had been extracted. Then he began to argue that he should be allowed to skip the last day of summer school. Never did get a good reason as to why he wanted to do that; he kept claiming that there was going to be a raffle for baseball-related prizes, and he “hates raffles.” If you can explain that, you have a better handle on kid brains than I do. Personally, I think he just didn’t feel like getting dressed, but he was adamant that that wasn’t it.
I need to get my butt in gear straightening things up for Eric’s dad’s visit next week. Feelings of motivation are doing the complete opposite of abounding. A plan needs to be made, I think; I work well with plans.
Are you without bananas? I have the same problem … a cramp is near me during my running training and when I arrive at home I found the “no bananas problem”
Did you see this article on CNN? It’s got your name all over it! Okay, not really . . .
