Falling behind

It’s harder to keep up with Holidailies each year, as the kids get older and the activities become more consuming! My parents got here Monday evening, just to visit briefly and drop off Christmas presents, and my brother and their best couple friends were with them. The kids were thrilled to see them, and we had a great time together.
Cory and I had the rare opportunity to go for a run together yesterday morning; he’s recently getting back into running since a knee injury took him to the sidelines a while ago. Being a beach dweller, he wasn’t eager to tackle Bryan’s hill, so I ran down it and met him at the base, from which we did another five miles. It was awesome! Then we spent the afternoon bowling.

Now my family’s gone, and we’re packing up for Vacation Part II, in which we head to Eric’s dad’s town, about an hour down the road. He has no internet access, so unless we stay at a hotel, I don’t know how frequently I’ll be able to update. If I can’t get back before then, Happy New Year!
