I feel your pain! I told hubby the other night I’m going to start putting the baby gate at our door so that the kids dont come in, by pass dead to the world dad and bother mommy or worse yet like last night, climb into bed w/ me, laying on top of my CPAP tubing, squishing me between a kid a dog and a hubby!!
Also, about Sam and reading series! Caleb, now 8, I think they were the same age actually… read all of the lemony snickett series and is now on book 5 of Harry Potter. 3rd grade folks, I couldn’t be prouder and it wasn’t until he discovered the Snickett series until he realized books are fun. Once he devoured them he started cranking out reading one HP book in roughly a week! So my child! We’ve learned it’s all about finding what he wants to read vs. what is his age range since he’s a much better reader than that!
Unlike you I’ve given in to the exhaustion and have been in bed most of the day, but mys not just the results of being up a lot through the night….
