I always get sore right there when my neck is out of alignment. Then that soreness leads to a raging headache, which can only be fixed by a quick trip to the chiropractor. Maybe your neck is out?
In Chinese medicine, acupuncture, that point is gall bladder. Look up (I’m afraid I wouldn’t be able to exactly describe where spot is) foot reflexology and see a diagram of where the gall bladder point is on the sole of your foot, then rub it to see if it’s tender. That is also a psychic spot. What’s coming in?
This has happened to me twice, and the first time even after the initial pain subsided, I had “shadow” pain there for days. Not fun.
