Frogs in the air
Conversation from this morning, as we were waking:
"Look, Sam. Fog!"
"Frog?"
"No, fog. It's like smoke in the sky."
"Frogs in gise [sky]?" (Now he was staring out the window, searching for frogs.)
"No, no, no. Not frogs. Fog! It's foggy!"
"Doggy!"
"No dogs, no frogs. Look, see that tree? It's hard to see, isn't it?"
"Doggy in tree?"
Oh, my. I shouldn't have said anything at all; now he's probably confused for life.

I had a very similar conversation with my little girl last week:
"Isa, look at all the fog!"
"F(r)og?... Rrribbit!"
"NO, not a frog. Fog. See, clouds"
"Kowds"
"Yes, it's fog."
"ribbit"
Isn't it fun?
Oh, he'll figure it out eventually. In the meantime you get to have all kinds of fun messing with him like that. ;)
we figured out that "fog is when clouds touch the ground". but i love the idea of frogs in the sky!
LOL we had that yesterday morning. Emma says 'pee?' which I guess means pretty.
Course, since she's obsessed with the potty now anything cool could be 'pee'. She claps when we go, and she watches the flush.
I have a sneaky suspicion we need to get her her OWN potty so she leaves ours alone. Yesterday she was trying to put boats in it.
I love toddler talk :)
That sweet boy!! I miss that age, so innocent and pure.
