Why?

Why won't Sam go to sleep?

Why does the yarn store have to close for Columbus Day?

Why do scented candles have to remind Sam of cookies and that he wants one right now?

Why does all the orange yarn at the craptastic Mega Craft Store have to be neon?

Why does Federal Express spy on me and always show up right as I'm sitting down to use the bathroom?

Why do I only crave salty things when there are none in the house?

Why am I only "in the mood" when he's not?

Why is it that he's in the mood to dress up when I haven't done laundry, and I'm in the mood to cook when he hasn't done the dishes?

Why did my son just go into his room, say "Yee-haw!" and shut the door?

(I better go check on that last one, I think.)

I have the same problem. I checked the websites for the major inexpensive yarn companies (Red Heart, Caron, etc.) and no one makes a regular orange. I ended up using Red Heart in Pumpkin, which is still too neon-y for my tastes. I've been thinking of writing Caron and asking them to please create a nice orange for us.
