Sorry about the link!
Thanks for the reassurance, guys. :-) Like I said, most of the time, I'm unconcerned. It's only every once in a while that I doubt myself. I think it must just be part of being human, let alone a parent. Stinks when it happens, though.
Nope the link wasn't working. It should be http://www.redhairedgirl.com/journal/20031023.html, but Carrie can be fogiven for a typo. ;)
Now here's the funny part: sometimes I read and think there's areas where Sam is ahead of Emma, or I wish we were more musical or... well, you get the idea. Anyway, he seems like such a great little kid and you're doing such and awesome job. :)
I think that we all worry about this kind of things as parents. We wouldn't be doing our jobs right if we didn't care about it as much!
I worry that my Boy watches too much television while he stays home with my in-laws. I worry that spending too much time with his vacant cousins will lower his IQ!
Everyone, I think, has insecurities about whether they're doing this right. I too can remember going through the checklists and testing my little one.
If it helps any, I think you're doing an awesome job at parenting Sam. He seems like a lovely, self-adjusted and bright little boy.
Cheers.
Sherry
I had to unsubscribe from Babycenter- it was just too much pressure!
Now see, I have a different perspective, having taught preschool, but you're beating yourself! Though I do understand. I was sobbing on the figuartive shoulders of my fellow LiveJournalers yesterday because my two year old forages for food in our fridge on her own, and watches the Wizard of Oz (her fave) way too much. Meanwhile the only time I get with my 7mo son involves my boob being in his mouth, and I'm getting tired of that!
Hang in there! Sam is SO smart. He's got such a great mom!!
Is it just me or is the link not working?
