Other annoyances
I don't know that he got this one from Caillou, but "I can't" has also infiltrated Sam's vocabluary. It started out rather sweetly, actually; on the way home the other evening, he commented "Moon!" When I asked him if he was looking at the moon, he replied, "No...I can't see it."
Now, though, he "can't" do much of anything. "I can't" eat lunch, "I can't" go to bed, "I can't" stop banging on the coffee table with a toy hammer.
Every day it's something new.

"I can't" never really goes away altogether either . . .
Just this morning when getting Aidan up to go for a run, we were greeted with, "I can't!" He's 11. (He can't run???? Yeah, right.)
Unfortunately, kids learn "I can't" no matter what you do.
