Seriously

I don't know if my healing is on schedule or not. I feel worse today than I did yesterday, but I felt better yesterday than I did the day before that. Everybody's stories of how long it took them to feel better run the gamut from "almost immediately" to "not until a couple of weeks later."

My post-op appointment that was initially scheduled for Tuesday got pushed back a week. The story was that they wanted to make sure that the swelling had gone down, but my phone calls since then, regarding medication, have revealed that my dentist is out of the country. If I had an emergency, what could they do? Gah! Even if I was staying in the area, I would never, ever go to this guy again.

Musicians will understand this: my mouth currently feels like it used to when I would practice my flute for hours and hours on end. There's tension and soreness that I can't seem to shake, and that's on top of the pain in my dental areas.
