New entry
I did it again! Holidailies is really good for me!
Sam had a rotten day today, running into everything, falling down, and generally trying to injure himself. You'd almost think he knew that next week we're having family portraits done... But I do think he is getting better now. No vomiting today! Whee!

You know, I think adding condos to your search for housing here in Wisconsin is an excellent idea! Truth be told, you can get some amazing homes for much less, and have lots of amenities. Things like pools and workout rooms and community rooms and a multitude of other perks and benefits.
And, if you are not intending to make this a permanent, forever move, it's a great way to have your money invested on a "temporary" basis. Condo's here are generally easier to sell than single family homes.
In Germany -(past summer) we got like 5 hours (ONLY!) sleep - in a nice hotel, teeny room, great bathroom (lol!) BUT the bed was pure nirvana. The pillow, truly like lying on a cloud, and the comforter soft and light but so cozy and warm. I should write to find out where they bought it...I have dreams (ha) too of the perfect sleeping bed! (Oh, the bed was twin size, and i shared it with my 3yo, but it was still heavenly!)
Running before the family picture? Sounds a lot like Calvin and Hobbes:) Hopefully Sam will be a bit older before he decides to make ape faces at the camera.
I managed to do a wee bit of X-mas shopping. I had to go to Birmingham (the one by Detroit) to the media preview of Lord of the Rings. Great shopping in Birmingham -- most of it of the window variety, I'm afraid.
I'm low on funds, so I'm crocheting a scarf of existing yarn (so it's red and black -- it's warm) and giving cookies to a lot of people. I actually have to spend money on my mother and sister. Maybe I could sell some plasma for that.
So glad to hear that he is doing better!
(btw, I blogrolled you)

Carrie, if you ever get to the point where you do buy a down comforter and a duvet cover to go with it consider another option than spending big bucks at a department store.
We took someone elses suggestion and bought ours from http://www.overstock.com/. We paid less than $100 for a 100% down comforter and a duvet cover. It was great for the price we paid. The 100% down comforters start at $50.00 with $2.95 shipping. Our daughter got so addicted to ours that we bought her one for Christmas.
Sorry for the commercial. But I have spent dozens of hours shopping for down comforters and thought someone else could benefit from what I had learned!

Oh Carrie! How could you link to that catalog? I'm dying to buy about half the things I saw in there. I'm particularly enamored of the $20 bronze nursing brooch.
Beautiful stuff!
I hope your whole family gets over the flu soon.. being sick during the holidays sucks!
I'd be wondering about that, but at least as of yesterday afternoon, his ears looked fine. The antibiotic the doctor gave us for his nose should take care of any other infections that pop up in the next week, too, she said. Still, it seemed odd. Maybe he's just exhausted from coughing at night.
Could be ear infection.. that throws the equallibrium off.
