New entry

New one up. How stupid could I be, really? (Don't answer that.)

In other news, Sam broke my glasses. Snapped them in half down the middle. Can we please just end this year now?

In a couple of states I've lived in if you move before your tags expire you can return them to the registration office for a refund for the rest of the year...

The last time I got a ticket (5 years ago), I got to pay it over the phone. Especially because I wasn't a multiple offender or anything. I just gave my credit card $$ over the phone, followed the prompts, and paid. I had to do it before my court date though. Then I didn't have to show up in court.

This was in Georgia. Does Ohio do anything like that?

Also, when was the last time you and Eric went out on an actual no-Sam date? Doing the things that you used to do when you were dating? Remembering why you fell in love with each other? It won't make the bad times (sickness, financial, job) go away, but it will reconnect the bond between you two.
Seems to me I'm always reading about one of you working late, or out of town, or something. But not a lot of time together. Just a thought.
Good luck!

I don't know if Ohio does that, but the court date they gave was for 12/23, and we'll be out of town long before and after that. :-(

You're not alone. The Bunny and I made the same gamble when we moved out of Georgia. We got ticketed on the way to the airport to fly me out to my Wisconsin job interview. $75 ten years ago. And the renewal was $40.

Carrie hang in there. Here in Detroit, If you get that sort of ticket and go ahead and get your plates renewed they will forgive it. You have to go to court but you don't have to pay the money and you avoid the moving violation points and the increase to your car insurance rates. Does Ohio do anything like that?
