New entry, 1/2

New entry, with an anecdote in which I manage to stick my foot so far into my own mouth that I can almost kick myself in the butt from the wrong side.

"And that, friends, is why we all, including and especially me, need to keep our minds open and our mouths shut once in a while."

So true..

I always make it a point not to "teach" someone's kids anything like that, anyway. No need to offend parents. IMHO, it's not one's place to do that kind of thing. Leave it to the parents themselves.

The Happiest of New Years, Carrie, to you and your sweet family. Whenever there is a discussion regarding certain subjects that people are passionate about, there is always a lot of sniping and criticism. It doesnt need to be that way.I look at what is happening in other parts of the world and say we should be grateful that we have the opportunity to feed our children by ANY means.(I both breast and bottle fed)And I was a full time working mom who worked off shifts and weekends so my kids did not have to go to group daycare but had I had it to do over again, I would make every attempt to be home with them. These are MY thoughts and I dont mean to try to convince anyone else to believe in them. Most everyone makes the best decisions they can based on their own lives.Anyway, I hope the New Year brings you peace and happiness and some relief from the house blues. It is the struggle that we call life!

Doh! I didn't see that coming at all! That was a great lesson for all of us. Thank you :)

Hopefully no one noticed?

Regarding working vs. stay-at-home... With 2 kids who'd need day-care, mightn't staying at home cost about the same? Some of my friends tell me about the cost of care, and whew, expensive!
