The trouble with a homemade chocolate cake with the best freaking buttercream icing on the planet sitting tantalizingly on your kitchen counter is...

Well, I think the problem is pretty obvious.

Funny, I was going to say the same thing! However, my buttercream recipe is at home. :)

Sure!

Mix 5 Tbsp. flour with 1 c. milk over low heat until thick. Let it cool thoroughly. While that's cooling, cream 1 c. butter, 1 c. suga, and 1 tsp. vanilla until light and fluffy. Add cooled flour mixture; beat until spreading consistency.

Yummy! I'm doing my best to resist, but oh, it's hard!

Resist! Resist! Good things come to those who wait! Patience is a virtue! Insert other cliches of choice here! :-) The cake does look yummy, though. Care to swap buttercream recipes?
