Unlikely, but if Sam does happen to chew his way into the cold packet of Arby's Sauce on which he's currently teething, he's in for a nasty surprise.

That is a trick that I use also. Ethan's far from his mouthing phase, but if I give him a ketchup packet while we're dining on fast food, it's a sure winner with how it amazes him. Only used if he's not hungry anymore and we're still eating. :)

Those packets are definately good distractions.

What's the weirdest thing Sam has ever chewed on?
When my son (now 2) was younger, he liked to chew on his daddy's cookingware. Plastic spoons, measuring spoons, you name it. Even to this day, we have to check his room first if we want mixing bowls, spoons, the pepper grinder...
