03/19/2002 Entry: "Sitting"

Okay, so Sam has now reached the point where he would really like to be able to move from standing to sitting whenever he wants, but he knows that simply letting go of the object on which he is balancing will result in pain and a fright. I'm trying to teach him how to bend his knees and sit, but he just gets mad when I try.

Somebody tell me that this won't take long.

It doesn't. My girls are now slowly learning to bend their knees a bit before they drop to the floor. They've been doing it a month, and they'll be a year on Saturday.
