04/04/2002 Entry: "Whine"

Whine...whine...whine...

The only time he stopped whining all day was when we went out to Target for a lightbulb. Then he was quiet, at least until we got to the baby clothing section so I could look at the clearance racks. Then he tried to shoplift Bermuda shorts and screamed when I stopped him.

He bit me hard a few minutes ago after asking to nurse. I took him off the breast and he howled. Luckily, Daddy came home right then, so Sam cheered up after only a few minutes. Now he's cruising around the room holding onto furniture; so far, he's made it about three-quarters of the way.

Oh, and while I'm adding my own whine to Sam's, wouldn't it just figure that when my libido finally has begun to return since Sam was born, horrible days at work would rob my husband of his? (Yes, too much information, I know.)

Well, it seems your wonderful son IS well advanced! He's already practicing to be 2! How wonderful for you!! Well, you've had six months of an uncranky child, he's just catching up. You'll be fine! Trust me!! This is just a warm up for the teenage years, anyway. Just keep repeating, I love my son, I love my son, I love....
