04/08/2002 Entry: "Nap"
Well. I didn't anticipate that.
I laid Sam on the bed, lowered the blinds to make the room darker and to obscure his view of the steadily falling rain. I covered him with a soft blanket, nursed him to sleep...
...and woke up two hours later. Well, I guess we both needed our naps today.

Those unplanned naps can be the sweetest gifts. I miss being able to lie down with the kids and drift off.

Those impromptu naps do happen to coincide with the time change. I think losing that hour is especially hard on babies and their tired mommies- whether we realize it at the moment or not.

That's funny, I had the same sort of thing happen to me today too. Every time I laid down next to Caleb to make sure he napped I fell asleep for an hour, no wonder I couldnt figure out why the day went by so fast. Must be the time change messing us up. I must say though I love waking up to Caleb's adorable little face next to mine, it makes every day so worthwhile.
