Okay, it's up. I'll put up the recipe later, when Sam isn't conked out on my lap. We had a long wagon ride today, and he's tuckered out.

Unbelievable! I'm glad your mother doesn't have cancer hanging over her head anymore, but I can understand how you feel. If it were my mother, I'd be craving some justice, too. She sounds like quite a woman.

Wow. That is just incredible!!! I'm very excited to know that she is on the road to living a much more normal life, but at the same time, appalled at the doctors' incompetence. Being military and dealing with their doctors regularly, I've seen some major stupidity but this tops all!!

Wow, that is really a bittersweet resolution. It's wonderful to know your Mom is cancer-free, but terrible to realize she went through all that for no good reason. I wish her only happiness from here on in!

If there's no one to sue, there's no one to sue. I would be hesitant about sharing anything with the insurance company since they make me paranoid anyway. I mean, I wouldn't put it past some of those companies to send ME a bill for all the money they spent on the disappearing doctors.
Your mom sounds pretty amazing though. I think forgiveness is truly a gift. How wonderful she's able to get on with life and not look back on the awful past.

I agree with Shetha the insurance company spent a lot of unecessary money and I would imagine they would be very interested in her recent findings. Worth a phone call at least. But so happy to hear it has a happy ending. Now you need a recipe for shrimp :)

I can't believe the incompetance of the physicians! I would certainly feel like you do Carrie. But I can also appreciate your mother's point of view. She's a very strong woman.
When she showed you her chart, did it have the pathology report on her thyroid? They have to send any surgically excised tissue to pathology for analysis. I would be curious as to what it says. That would be the most damning evidence if it turned out to be benign.
Hugs to you all!

Congratulations on the good news. I am glad that your mother has found good physicians at last. I think if your mother doesn't hold the prior physicians accountable that perhaps her medical insurance company could? Just something to look into...

Wow. Unbelievable. But I think your mom's outlook - on just getting on with a normal life - is a good one and she certainly deserves it.
I just can't believe the crap she's gone through ... for nothing.
*big hugs*
