05/16/2002 Entry: "Ick"

I have no voice at all; it's agony to make a noise. This makes parenting difficult, as you might imagine. I'm also congested and running a fever, I think. I can't find the thermometer, but I'm clammy and my upper lip is sweating. Ugh.

We're watching cartoons, and I actually just heard one of the characters utter, "I hope Shen-Shen told them to be nicer to her ya-ya!" I have no idea what's going on, but that made me chuckle - and then wince.

Isn't "Chinese Siamese cat" redundant?

Just wondering.

You have my complete and utter empathy, Carrie. I'm just getting better myself. I think this was the first time I was home alone sick with the kids as primary caretaker. Boy oh boy does it suck!

Ah, "Sagwa the Chinese Siamese Cat". Coincidentally, Alice is watching that at this very moment as well. One of the cats is named Dong-wa. *beavis laugh*
