Friday Five:
1. How often do you do laundry?
Lots. It varies, though; on weeks where Sam and I have a lot of activities, it may only get done once or twice. Other weeks, I may do six or seven loads. Diapers always get done once a week, though.
2. What's in a typical wash load?
Once a week I do diapers and wipe cloths. Beyond that, it's usually a mix of linens and clothes.
3. Front or top loader? Powder or liquid detergent?
We have a top loader, and I like it. Honestly, I have never used a front loader outside of a laundromat, so perhaps my experience is skewing my tastes. I don't see much difference between liquid and powder detergents, so we use the less expensive powder option. I like Gain, but Tide was on sale last time we shopped.
4. Do you use fabric softener in the rinse cycle?
Not usually. It ruins diaper absorption, so I generally don't use it for anything. Occasionally I'll throw some in with a load of sheets.
5. Dryer or clothesline?
Dryer, and I hate it. Our lease says I can't have a clothesline, which was almost a deal-breaker for me, but Eric overruled me. I considered hanging a clothesline in our front hallway, but gave up on the idea eventually. Darn it, I like the smell of sun-dried clothing!

ooh ooh! the new downy fabric "conditioner" increases absorbancy and the diapers feel soooo good!
