06/27/2002 Entry: "Off-roading"
Thanks, you guys, for the words of support. They mean a lot to me.
I forgot to mention what Sam did yesterday afternoon that cracked me up. He and I were eating pizza for lunch, and I had to leave the room for a second. During that time, Sam apparently decided that his toy tow truck needed to go off-roading.
When I came back in the room, he was driving the truck across the pizza, over and over. I laughed so hard, I nearly peed myself.
He's becoming quite the little stinker. The other night, Eric was "watching" him while I was upstairs folding laundry. Suddenly, I heard Eric say, "Sam? Sam!" I heard giggles close by and turned around to see a maniacally grinning face appear at the top of the (supposedly baby-gated at the bottom) stairs. He began crawling toward me as fast as he could while Eric dashed up the stairs to catch him. I guess the gate hadn't been latched completely. Extra vigilance will now be required, methinks.

Yep, have lived many a same scene myself. In fact, Ethan still does the same thing to this day - although now he can hold the railing of the stairs with his hand!

Oh yeah, had that sneaky stair incident myself. Part of me thought it hysterical and the other was horrified that he might have tumbled down the stairs backwards. Yes, vigilence is a must. Although I must admit, my Joey still manages to find other ways to scare the crap out of me. LOL Gotta love those boys!
