Friday Five:

When was the last time you...
1. ...sent a handwritten letter?
Um, well. Too long. Way too long. I'll send notes in with packages, but a letter all by itself? I sent one when I was pregnant to my friend Kathy (and it never reached her!), but before that it had probably been years.

2. ...baked something from scratch or made something by hand?
Last night, Honey Curry Bread. Yum.

3. ...camped in a tent?
Never done it. Never camped in anything at all, actually. I'd love to do it, but the opportunity has never arisen for me.

4. ...volunteered your time to church, school, or community?
I'm starting to feel like a real loser, here. Oh, when I worked at the library, I volunteered to run a booth at the County Fair. Not exactly a giving extravaganza these days. I've been thinking about taking Sammy to visit rest homes, since he has no elderly relatives close by and since he tends to brighten people's days. I want to call and see how that works, though; I only read a blurb about it in a magazine.

5. ...helped a stranger?
Now, I tend to do this a lot, but I honestly can't remember the last time, since I don't usually keep track. I ask people who look lost if they need directions; at the library, I help the children of frazzled mommies find the toys and books they want. I hold doors, and I let other drivers merge in front of me. I'm a regular Good Samaritan.
