Well, glory be! A new entry!

I used to go to the Ren Faires until I found the SCA. Much cheaper, a lot more fun...
If you've never been to a Ren Faire, I would strongly suggest going! I think they're loads of fun.

Carrie, I just clicked on your "one year ago" link to re-read what you had written then. The pictures of then-very-young Sam just shocked me! I can't believe that in just a year he's gotten so big! When you're watching a young child grow gradually through a few pictures every week over the course of a year, you fail to notice the overall change -- you just take it for granted. But WOW! A year old and a big boy!!!
One thing that didn't shock me: The fact that you have a positively BEAUTIFUL son! You and Eric are very lucky to have him. And, frankly, he's very lucky to have both of you. As a young woman who is very close to both of her parents, I can see good parents a mile away -- and y'all are so good, I can see you from SIXTY miles away! (I'm further NW in Ohio in Bryan.)
Anyway -- long post, I know, but I wanted to let you know all of that. Best to all three of you! :c)
(Oh -- and if you want Sam to have exposure to kitties, bring him on over to Bryan -- I have two he would love!)

I know what you mean about the Renaissance faires, we have one of our own in Northeast Ohio. They're everywhere! :) (We would probably go if it didn't cost $30 just to get in..)

Oh, I love it when babies write in their mama's journals!
