While I'm at it, I thought I'd post some pictures of the hats I've been making. A friend of mine has a store of children's items, and I've been doing some hats for her to sell. They're doing pretty well, and I'm having a blast!
An apple:

A little lace top hat:

A Christmas tree, on the head of my son (who hates all hats):

A little lemon:

A tiny tam, on the head of a tiny customer:

Fruits of my labor:

A shot of the display rack:

They are fabulous!! Very impressive.

I must say I love the hats. I DO have a pic of Emma in that apple hat of yours up on the web, if you want to use it...feel free.

And to think, newborn sized and it still fits :)

Thanks, guys!
No, pea, the brin just naturally rolls when you use that stitch (stockinette). :-)
Posted by: Carrie on December 17, 2002 09:01 PMCarrie, I am so inspired! The hats are wonderful. I've done a few plain roll brim hats, but now I want to make a tam like that! Rebecca is like Sam, she hates hats...
Posted by: Aimee on December 17, 2002 06:43 PMWoW, I just love them, and how marvellous that you can make some money too! Can I ask, do you have to sew the roll brim in place?
Posted by: pea on December 17, 2002 02:48 PMDefinately cute! Not sure why I love the apple and lemon hats best. Your foot makes a great hat stand, btw. LOL ;)

Thomas loves his apple hat. I get endless raves, from friends and strangers alike, about how adorable Thomas looks in it.
Good luck in your knitting business adventures. It's wonderful you enjoy it so much.
